Pendulum dowsing method PDF Utskrift
Skrevet av Rev. Alicja Aratyn, M. Eng

The process of Dowsing can be explained and considered from both a scientific a spiritual standpoint.

To find a common ground for both we can say that Dowsing is the ability to find objects or answers to questions through the use of both rational and spiritual aspects of our being.
From the scientific point of view, Dowsing is a process of electrical impulse which is being sent to dowser's brain. In response, a compatible wavelength is created and another electrical impulse is sent back. Those kind of impulses create a micro-constriction of muscles, which push energy down along your arm and underarm to finally reach the string of your pendulum creating its movement. Since “positive” or “negative” states of our energetic system are represented by different amounts of energy, we observe also two different movements of the pendulum or dowsing rods.

From the spiritual point of view Dowsing takes place when your mind connects and vibrates in harmony with your soul (as an extension of Higher Source). Information needed is given to dowsers from higher dimensions, penetrating their physical existence and manifesting itself as a movement of pendulum or dowsing rods.

We invite you to browse through our website and explore variety of pendulums and dowsing rods, which will help you enhance your dowsing skill. If you have additional questions contact us and we will help you to choose pendulums which suit your work.

Dowsing procedure:
1. Hold the pendulum between thumb and index fingers (without applying unnecessary pressure) by the bead in the middle of string with your dominant hand. Left-handed people should hold pendulum in left hand. Keep the rest of the string loose in the palm of the same hand.
2. Clear the pendulum by tapping it gently against a hard surface (table, book, etc). If you use a pendulum which must be cleared tap it against hard surface. Some pendulums are self clearing, others not. The pendulum should be “empty” while dowsing, dealing only with the energy of your actual problem.
3. In your mind ask: “Show me the YES direction” and repeat this question until you will see steady, obvious movement of your pendulum.
4. Say: “Thank you. Now show me the NO direction”. You must wait until the pendulum looses the energy from YES and begins to move in another direction, which will signify a “NO“ answer.
5. After memorizing both movements you may start to use your pendulum for your own purposes.
6. Optionally, at this point you can in your mind ask: “Am I connect to my Higher Self?” and if so, then proceed.
7. ALWAYS formulate your question to require YES or NO answer. Ambiguous question results in ambiguous or non-answer:
• Is the weather good? The answer will depend on your definition of good weather.
• Is it raining? This is a straight forward (direct) question not depending of your definition or understanding and a valid type of question to ask.
REMEMBER: Keep your mind clear by focusing on your question not on your desired answer.
8. Wait until pendulum will begin moving in a regular pattern. The direction of the movement will signify the answer to your question.
9. If the pendulum movement becomes erratic, take a break, then start again. When beginning to practice with dowsing a good length of time to practice is 15-20 minutes at a time.

Enjoy your Dowsing!
